The Founder Story

The Story Behind the Brand

I have always believed that what we wear should feel like an expression of who we are, not a label telling the world who we should be.

The idea behind the brand began with a simple observation. At events, dinners, and even in everyday life, I noticed women carrying very similar bags. Different outfits, different personalities, yet often the same familiar shapes and recognizable logos.

I wanted to create something different.

I wanted to create bags that did not need a logo to be recognized. Pieces that could make a woman feel distinctive simply because the design itself was enough. Bags that feel personal, unexpected, and memorable - a statement of individuality rather than a display of a name.

My journey did not begin with handbags. My first venture was a clothing line, which ultimately taught me more than I could have imagined. It showed me what I wanted to create, what I wanted to do differently, and most importantly, that I wanted to build something that came directly from my own imagination.

I began this journey as a mother to a young child, with a small idea and a great deal of determination. What started as an idea gradually became a design process of its own.

For the past two years, I have been bringing the designs I see in my mind into the real world. Every shape, silhouette, detail and material begins with an idea - often inspired by the beauty of nature -  organic forms, textures and unexpected combinations.

Based in Dubai, I design each collection with a global woman in mind. My Turkish roots, life in Dubai, and the different cultures and aesthetics I encounter along the way all naturally find their way into my creative process.

But the design is only the beginning.

Each bag is then brought to life by the skilled hands of the people I work with. Many of our pieces are individually handcrafted, often incorporating natural stones and carefully selected materials. Because of this, the making of a bag cannot always be rushed. Some pieces may take around five days to complete, while more intricate designs can take up to 30 days.

And that is intentional.

In a world of mass production and instantly recognizable logos, I wanted to create something that feels more personal.

A bag that makes you stop and look.

A bag that feels like it was made for your individuality.

A bag that does not need a name across it to make a statement.

Because I believe being different does not always have to be loud.

Sometimes, it is simply choosing something that feels like you.

With love,

Selen
